"Warranty" (also known as "The Warranty"[1]) is the sixth track on The End, So Far.

Background[]

On July 19th, the album's full tracklist was leaked on Twitter.[2] And later in the day the band officially announced the album, The End, So Far, along with the music video for the second single; "The Dying Song (Time to Sing)".[3]

"This a tongue-in-cheek look at what people expect from Slipknot. It's basically me turning very specific retail terms into metaphors about what people think they own when it comes to Slipknot, and the fact that after all these years our warranty hasn't run out, but they've had to replace us with a new one. That's my inner metal dad coming out!"
Corey Taylor[4]

Lyrics[]

[Intro]
Isn't this what you came here for?
Isn't this what you came here for?
Isn't this what you came here for?
Isn't this what you came here for?

[Verse 1]
Blah blah blah, I don't wanna hear shit
Medicals and miracles and all the obits
We stay all day and leave all night
Tell it like it is because we know it ain't right

[Pre-Chorus]
They're paid off, catch a tiger by the total price of all the penalties
Let go, don't you wanna see another model just like you?

[Chorus]
Too smart but you can't imagine, too much time in the old abandoned
My advice, now don't think twice, you always buy brand new
Too smart but you can't imagine, too much time in the old abandoned
My advice, now don't think twice, you always buy brand new, yeah

[Verse 2]
Gang star shoot in the panzar, could it be the answer, to the overwhelming ordinary
Pick a vision and just follow the clues
We don't need the conversation we just confuse the-

[Pre-Chorus]
Breakdown, don't adjust your set now, careful, there's no feedback guarantees
Why now? It always seems to be another job you can't get through

[Chorus]
Too smart but you can't imagine, too much time in the old abandoned
My advice, now don't think twice, you always buy brand new
Too smart but you can't imagine, too much time in the old abandoned
My advice, now don't think twice, you always buy brand new

[Bridge]
Your warranty is not a guarantee to me
Your innocence is just a pittance and naïve
Contrive the controversy, sinister and plain
Upgrade the system until the virus can be sane
Got it all back but I blew it on the trade-in
(Isn't this what you came here for?)
Got it all back but I blew it on the trade-in
(Isn't this what you came here for?)
Got it all back but I blew it on the trade-in
(Isn't this what you came here for?)
Got it all back but I blew it on the trade-in
(Isn't this what you came here for?)

[Chorus]
Too smart but you can't imagine, too much time in the old abandoned
My advice, now don't think twice, you always buy brand new
Too smart but you can't imagine, too much time in the old abandoned
My advice, now don't think twice, you always buy brand new
