Paul Gray - Number 1.2
Paul Dedrick Gray (April 8, 1972 - May 24, 2010) was the original bassist of Slipknot until his death on May 24, 2010. and was part of the original Slipknot line-up. Unlike the rest of the band, he was in fact born in Los Angeles, but he resided in Des Moines Iowa with the rest of the band.
Personal Life and Career:
Gray was born in Los Angeles, California. Later his family relocated to Des Moines, Iowa. In his youth, he performed in bands such as Anal Blast, Vexx, Body Pit and, Inveigh Catharsi. Michael (Mickael) Gordon "Mick" Thomson (B. November 3, 1973) or known by his number 1.7, is the lead guitarist of Slipknot, the nine-man heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa.
His early career in music started in bands such as Body Pit, which included other members who were to be in Slipknot. He joined Slipknot under a recommendation from Joey Jordison and replaced Craig Jones on guitar, who moved to samples/media. Although credited as being on the album, Mick had nothing to do with (early 1995 release) Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat. He also denies the existence of Crowz, saying that "the secret album everyone talks about is just a bunch of leaked demo tapes and stuff."
