SlipKnot, more commonly known as the Gold Disc, is an eleven-track demo recorded in March 1997 with Anders Colsefni on vocals.
Background[]
The demo was initially comprised of 13 songs, some of them being new versions of older songs, and was supposed to be Slipknot's second album. It was mixed in March 1997 by SR Audio and scheduled for release in August 1997.[1][2] It's unknown which two songs were cut from the demo.
After Anders Colsefni left Slipknot in September 1997, the band removed his vocals from the songs and had Corey Taylor record his own. Four songs with Corey's vocals were leaked in the early 2000s.

- There are two versions of this demo[3], one recorded with Anders, which is commonly known as "Crowz"[4] (which was not the official title), and another one recorded with Corey known as MFKR pt. 2 (according to Denny Harvey, former guitarist of Stone Sour, who has the concept artwork made by Corey).[5]
