Annymous Live Show (Pre- Roadrunner Signing) is an eight-track demo recorded in 1997 with Corey Taylor on vocals. It's commonly known as Silver Disc and is currently the first known material of the band after changing their vocalist.

Background[]

The exact circumstances of this CD's existence are nebulous. Allegedly, it was given to a close friend of Anders Colsefni by the late Mike Lawyer (owner of S R Audio). It is commonly believed that the tracks on this CD are a combination of studio and live audio, used by the band as a test to see how they would sound with Corey Taylor at shows. However, considering the design of the CD and its name, as well as the absence of any Slipknot logo and other identifiers, it's uncertain if the CD was actually produced by the band or S R Audio at all.

The intro of "Spit It Out", where Corey introduces the song, matches the intro of the song when it was released on the State of Independents Live Volume 1 compilation around February 28, 1998. This compilation was recorded live by S R Audio on November 8 and 9, 1997, but for some reason, studio audio was used for "Spit It Out", except for the intro. Nevertheless, this can be taken as proof that the Silver Disc is an actual soundboard recording. According to a newspaper clipping, Slipknot performed on November 9th, 1997.
